Here is the summary:
Captain Carrot Ironfoundersson always takes his duties seriously: keeping the peace, protecting the citizens of Ankh-Morpork, and making sure everyone follows the proper ordinances regarding cabbage-throwing. Juliet Stollop, meanwhile, is more concerned with shoes, sugar buns, and her newfound role in the “glamour of foot-the-ball.”
When a chance meeting at Unseen University sets them on an unexpected path, Carrot and Juliet stumble into the strangest kind of courtship—one where civic duty looks suspiciously like romance, football rules are explained with pastries, and dinner dates are mistaken for safety patrols.
With Glenda and Nobby providing running commentary, and half the Watch placing bets, Ankh-Morpork gains a new odd couple: the tall watchman who salutes everyone, and the night kitchen girl who thinks cabbage is romantic.
